  • hello, all I am reporting that I received the 345.00 that was the overdraft from MAXLEND today back in my account still changing accounts just to be safe. Keep calling, some of the slow refunding was because of the holiday but that does not make an excuse for having a bad database not when it concerns money. I will never do a on line loan again I will use my local person to person center. Good luck to you all!

  • Okay, checked my account this morning (5:30CST) and the money was returned!!!! All 1375.04 of it. I didn't have any NSF fees, so I can't speak to whether they are sticking to word to refund those or not. However; I will never, use them again. I will be calling my bank today to inquire about blocking them from my checking account. I expect to be paying them in full next payday anyway, but I just won't go through this again. I won't go as far as to close my checking account, but I will cancel my debit card and get a new one in a heart beat!!!! Good luck to everyone, I hope they fix your situations as they should!!

  • Don't feel stupid. We all went to them because we needed help, and they took, advantage of that. I am about to contact all of our local news stations because I can't believe there hasn't been more press on this. We might not be able to sue them, but I can't believe they can't be touched at all.

  • Just checked my account and they only refunded me $102 for 3 NSF charges. They owed me $1402!! If they can refund the $102, why not all of it?? Never mind the fact that there are 4 more NSF charges at $34 each that they refuse to reimburse, plush late fees to 2 other companies. This whole fiasco has cost me almost $200 so far out of my own pocket and MaxLend has no intention of making it right.

    I was told through my bank that if was on our debit card they could have stopped it but they can't when its from our account. I have talked to them today and they said the money is going into my account tomorrow so I am waiting to see if not I am going to cancel that one and open a new one because they know when your next payday is they can do it again. I look at this way lesson learned if you need money next time use you local payday loan office nearest to you. I know I will or do with out until payday. I feel your pain!

  • I have submitted a review to the Better Business Bureau about my experience with Maxlend. If my money isn't back by tomorrow morning....I will file an official complaint with them. I hate to do that because the BBB will post all of your particulars (e.g. name, company, problem, etc.) on the web. However, if I don't get satisfaction, I will just have to deal. Has anybody gotten their money back yet??

  • News Flash!!!! Tuesday morning 7:52 (CST)...checked bank account and NO REFUND!!!!! I am so worn out with this problem...it sucked up all of my energy over the weekend. I've read other posters say they were told by MaxLend that funds would be returned by Weds. That timeline makes some sense because anything done over the weekend would just be recognized by the banking system today and all transactions SHOULD post by midnight. So, if they money isn't there by the beginning of business tomorrow morning....I will be all out of rational explanations....this is a nightmare!!!!!!

  • keep calling you can talk to them but you should read your contract with them I wish I was more observant lesson learned. indian tribe with immunity! from the government!
    Read where if you sew them they will sew you for breach of contract and you will pay all the attorney fees you have to settle everything with them. call and see if they will give you a refund and if not change you bank account quickly! I'm hoping it is a interest thing they get the interest then send your money back who knows I just feel stupid for not reading between the lines before I signed. i have been getting calls saying i have a civil suit on me to and they want money or i will be picked up from work and took to jail this didn't happen until I opened the maxlend account and they new my social and other info! so look for more problems! just tell them you know the process of the law if you get a summons a offical brings it to your house! i did and they hung up on me! Sorry we had to communicate this way.

  • Please read your contract before you do anything or you could pay more! I read it and they have immunity from the government they are a Indian tribe and you could be sewed for breach of contract I am waiting they said they would put my money back this tuesday the 21st I'm waiting to see then a new account will be opened I recommend this!!! they know when you get payed again and how much so change your account!

  • I too had money taken out on Fri Jan 17th. Alot..I did not have any previous notices this was going to happen. Because of the holiday my account is stable but come Tuesday I will have a number of NSF fees! I have called..e-mailed and called some more..I can't get through and have received nothing but one e-mail stating their error. This is unbelieveable..they need to make amends and soon!

  • My bank does not accept automatic deposits to my bank card, so I have to wait until WEDNESDAY. Yes, they originally told me Tuesday, but then the guy I talked to Saturday said it would most likely be Wed. 6 days with no money. I ended up contacted another short term lender, getting the money from them and calling maxlend back and telling them to keep their money, refund me the extension amount and that I was done with them, in addition to reporting them to 2 agencies. The guy started blistering, but you know what, serves them right. So I get my extension payment back, and they will pay my overdraft fees for leaving me flat broke for almost a week.

  • But I will say to the original poster, I have had 3 successful transactions with them prior to this.... I understand problems happens, but as I told them, a problem of this sort should NEVER happen. They also told me to get a copy of all my overdrafts from the bank and they would reimburse those for me. No telling WHEN they will do that

  • Are they truly making all of us whole?? I finally got through today and yes as with other customers we had to call my bank to verify the payments went through. HOWEVER, when the MaxLend agent asked the bank rep what NSF fees were charged, of course the bank rep said there were two (one for each of the MaxLend payments). When I tried to interrupt and say there were in fact more than 2 NSF charges that were caused by their error, the MaxLend agent cut me off. I was then told that I would not get my money back until Wednesday. In the meantime I have and other auto payments go through racking up more NSF charges. For anyone who has incurred overdraft fees, late fees, returned check fees, reconnect fees from other companies because of the MaxLend error, as far as I can tell,MaxLend has no intention of making this right and we will have to pay all of these additional fees out of our pockets due to their error. I still think a class action suit is forthcoming. They have gotten away with this with absolutely no media coverage and no suffering on their part. They got their money and then some while we have all suffered great distress over a holiday weekend.
