Took out a temporary loan with this company online and the first payment of $117.87 was to come out today. They took that out in addition to another $617.87, the amount of the entire loan. I called them right away (1-877-936-4336) and was actually able to get through in under 60 seconds. They informed me that a computer glitch had caused all of their customers to be debited in the same way I was. Thankfully I paid my rent before this happened as the amount did not come out of my account until today. They told me that the money would be returned by Tuesday (!!!)The representative and I conferenced the bank and the Maxlend person confirmed that the transaction posted. She then told me that the report would be sent to her supervisor and they would contact me in about an hour. Of course I have not heard from them and my account is negative $287. I have $8 cash to last until Tuesday, if they even refund it. I called my bank, Wells Fargo, and reported the transaction as fraud. They are working on getting the money back to me, but the earliest it will be returned is Tuesday as well.  The conference call was recorded by Wells Fargo so they have that as proof. At any rate I am stuck on a holiday weekend with no money for food. I cannot believe this is happening, I am furious just like everyone else. I would recommend calling your bank first and disputing the charge, cancelling your debit card and possibly closing your account. Then this company can get its payments from me via money order in the mail!!! There is no way I am trusting them to do it correctly the next payment date.

  • I finally got through today, and they asked for my debit card info and my money was returned into my account in about an hour. If your bank won't do that, they said it would be ACH'd into account no later than Wednesday, they are returning the money. Thank you God.

  • You are one of the lucky ones..... my bank does not take automatic deposits to my card.... and not only will I not have the money back on Tuesday, they are now telling me it will be Wednesday! This puts me at 6 days flat broke.

  • But I will say to the original poster, I have had 3 successful transactions with them prior to this.... I understand problems happens, but as I told them, a problem of this sort should NEVER happen. They also told me to get a copy of all my overdrafts from the bank and they would reimburse those for me. No telling WHEN they will do that

  • I too had money taken out on Fri Jan 17th. Alot..I did not have any previous notices this was going to happen. Because of the holiday my account is stable but come Tuesday I will have a number of NSF fees! I have called..e-mailed and called some more..I can't get through and have received nothing but one e-mail stating their error. This is unbelieveable..they need to make amends and soon!
