I thought I was on the authentic UGG Australia store website, that was until my credit card was charged $94.22 U.S. to YEN conversion and again for $2.82 credit card fee for the foreign trade conversion, as I thought I was being charged $93.50. Oh, and the vendor was Pualexin Limited Beijing China not UGG Australia oddly enough. I tried contacting them right away, which was next to impossible, and after 5 attempts in 9 days I called my credit card company and filed a dispute claim. The money was immediately returned to me, and if I receive the bogus product I was told to accept it, bring it to the post office and return it with delivery confirmation so I can keep my funds. The reason for doing it that way rather than just refusing it at the door is so I have proof, that I sent the boots back, also leaves best discount boots with no recourse. Advice came strait from my creditcard company.
I did finally get a reply the day after I cancelled payment, and sent an e-mail cancelling my order, telling me my boots will arrive in 7-9 days even though they advertise 5-7days after payment on their site. I could not however get an answer as to whether or not they are an authorized UGG retailer, why they don't tell you they are based out of China, why they lie about cost related to foreign trade charges, why they lie about shipping time, or whether the boots are authentic. I did report the to UGG Australia and they are being investigated as we speak. I do have an e-mail that gets response if anyone is interested [email protected]. However, my best advice would be to cancel payment, or if you have the merchandise call your creditcard co. and file a dispute. You will have to send the boots back with confirmation, but it's well worth it.
