We keep receiving phone calls, threats, from Affirmative Litigation about a debt they say that my wife owes on some credit card from Household Bank. My wife has never had a credit card with anyone outside her "real" bank, ever. Her ex-husband has gotten credit cards, fraudulently, from other online banks in the past cause he's got just enough information about her that allows him to do this.
This Affirmative outfit and others have been calling us everyday, now they're calling on my phone to get the debt paid. We're not paying. They refuse to send any paperwork or serve us directly. They threaten that if we don't pay the $600 that it's going to cost $4300 after court costs. I gave them information about who they should contact but they don't want it, they want us to pay. Not happening.
It's funny, they, conveniently are on the east coast and my wife and I are on the west coast and they have no offices in CA.
How do we fight these guys? I've tried the police, no help. I've tried getting ideas from my bank, no help that works. (Personal Information Removed)
