International boundaries
Rented a place in Melbourne AU. Found out prior to check in the owner switched the town and postal code. Also reflected on my AirBNB receipt. Told AirBNB. Owner cancelled and got an email from AirBNB stating I would get all my funds back. Called to discuss and their rep asked if I wanted to cancel. As I had already gotten a email stating I would be getting all my money back I said yes. A day later got an email stating I would only be getting half.
Scammed twice from them. First they rented me a place with a false address then they kept my money once I pointed it out. I even sent the title of the location from the AU government. Everything was difficult. The owner of the house eventually admitted the house was not in that location and AirBNB still did not care.
Be careful. If they can't even do a town and postal code check what the hell are they doing??

:(( i almost got it too :(( thanks to scambook i saved 2000 EUR! it was too good to be true! i got a different bank account! can you please publish the full history of your communication with these guys + that airnb email that looks genuine! or send it to me at [email protected] , i want to publish it in full on my blog !
