On August 29th, I went to the Brick to purchase 2 bedroom sets ( 1 master bedroom, 1 children's) and a reclyning couch. When I chose the sets I wanted I told the salesman that I would purchase it ONLY if it was able to be delivered on the following Saturday (Sept 1). He checked and told me that it was no problem, as it was all in stock. So I paid it in full. On Saturday, upon arriving, 5 out of 7 peices of the master bedroom set were damaged! So 4 of the 7 peices stayed on the truck, and 3 were left at my house (the head board and mirror weren't damaged, but the dresser had a scratch and was left behind until they returned with the other peices to be exchanged). Then I noticed that the children's bedroom set was the wrong one! So I went directly to the store and explained what the problem was, and I was assured that the right bedroom set would be delivered on the Thursday, Sept 6th, along with all the peices from the master bedroom set. On Thursday, when they finally arrived (they never called to confirm time of delivery), they had my daughter's set, but forgot about mine! So, I went back to the store to complain again about the service (they never assembled the bed- which was included in the price) and asked to be refunded. They brought me to the offices in back and asked if I would give them 1 more chance if they delivered on the following Saturday (Sept 8th), and they would reimburse me for the night table and footboard. So I agreed and waited patiently on Saturday for my delivery (which they didn't call to confirm again!) When they finally arrived with 3 of my 4 peices, 2 peices where damaged! So I refused delivery and sent it back. I then went back to the store and demanded my money back, as I have been living out of boxes and sleeping with my matresses on the floor for 2 weeks now. They are refusing to take the couch back as there is nothing wrong with it, but I just don't beleive they should be making money for their terrible service! They then guarenteed me that itwould be picked up today, and that I would be reimbursed in 48 business hours. But when I called today to find out what time they would be there at, they told me it was only scheduled to be picked up on Thursday, Sept 13th! Now I will only be reimbursed on Monday, Sept 17th (if they actually show up)meaning that I will be living out of boxes and sleeping on the floor for another 2 weeks (at least). I cannot go purchase another bedroom set until I am reimbursed from this one, as I saved diligently to buy these. This has been the first (and last) time I have ever dealt with the Brick, and it has been nothing but stressful and dissappointing! I am tired of being lied to and passed around from one person to the next, and ending up no closer to resolving this problem. I need someone to help me get my refund, as I just want to enjoy the comfort of a new purchase that I have been saving for for years! They have given me NOTHING for my discomfort and are treating me like I am in the wrong. I paid cash for these, and now it is costing me more then it is worth. Everytime I have a delivery, I have to tip the guys who move this furniture (which I won't be reinbursed for) and I have missed work (and pay) to wait for these deliveries. Now, they are trying to shortchange me on what they are reimbursing. I have gone over the bill step by step and they want to give me $203.41 less then what I paid. They said they would get a superviser to look into it and get back to me! So.... does this mean that the date of pick-up will be delayed again? These people are a bunch of crooks, I just want my money back so I can go to another store and purchase a new one. I little compensation for my troubles wouldn't hurt either. Please help me get back what is rightfully mine!
