Purchased top of the line Sealy Crown Jewel box spring and materas in April-2008
Also purchased extra warranty againt manufacturer defectat the time of purchase.
The materas was defective after 2 years and an inpector from the company( The Brick ) was sent to verifie this defect and sent a report to that effect.
A replacement materas was sent to us of inferior quality and did not match the box spring as originally purchased
We refuse to take deliveryof the replacement materas, called the manager of the Brick store in Pt-Claire , that refused to speak to us.
His employee indicated that the manager could not do anything about this. What a scam and certainly bad business ethics and customer service.
The representation made to us a the moment of purchase is that any manufacturer defect would be covered under the additional warranty for same quality and new .
Clients of the Brick are paying for additional warrantees under false representation. When it come time to honor their warrantee, they dont.
I need help to resolve this situation

  • The mismatch boxspring is kind of obvious and don't understand why you think it would have matched in the first place. Mattresses change every year and to think it would have matched a mattress you bought 4 years prior is pretty ridiculous.

The part you may have been mislead on was that the "protection against defects" thing that you bought was probably the mattress protector. Working at a rival furniture store, I've heard it misrepresented that way a few times myself from customers walking in to our store. Pretty much every store sells a mattress protector ONLY to guarantee you an exchange for another mattress if you find the one you've purchase uncomfortable. The manufacturer is the ONLY entity you need to deal with for a defective product. The difference between the different stores you decide to buy from will show you how helpful they are in terms of helping you through the process, of which The Brick is probably the worst. The fact the manager wouldn't even speak with you is fairly good evidence of that.

As to the specs, I'm not sure how you confirmed that. Rather than taking the word of any person at the Brick I would call up Sealy and ask them to verify what's in the mattress.
