I was directed to use brainhost by an internet marketing firm working to set up a business from home. Obviously the business from home turned out to be not worth the investments and I requested refunds all around. I was delayed and "sold" to give it a few months, which I did. In early March ... a few months into the process, I requested refunds from the firm and received it. I requested a refund from Brainhost, asking them to stop web-hosting and they agreed to sending a refund minus the intermediate charges for three months (!!!) and allegedly issued a refund for $149.95 on March 5th. I still have not received the refund and several phone calls into this process, and them blaming everyone but themselves, they offered to mail a check, two weeks later and that check hasn't arrived, and they again offered to directly refund my account electronically ... that was a week ago and today they tell me that it's being done again!

They took my money in a heart-beat and they are supposesedly refunding only a part of my original funds on the premise of having hosted a website that as far as I can tell, nobody ever saw except me, and it's taking and incredibly long period of time to get the refund! Better Business Bureau here I come!
