In October 2010, I saw a person on Orange County Craigslist advertising Dollhouses/Sheds. We sent several emails discussing the requirements and the expectations of the Dollhouse/shed. I was dealing with Kevin "Dean" Shook. He went by Dean and his email address was [email protected] . He lived in central California in the Manteca area. He requested a 50% deposit so I sent him $450.00 check. I listened to all the excuses, heart breaking stories which eventually turned to threats. They are well documented on the long email path that I still have. I filled police reports and also contacted his local sherrifs department. Problem is that his local sherrifs department doesn't know him (by that name)and can't locate him. He always requests that you send your check/money order to his business address in Manteca, California. The problem is that the business address is really a US Postal Service PO Box in Manteca. California. He must have a fake ID and he always chashes your check at your banking establishment in the Manteca, Ca. area. I bank with Wells Fargo and they currently have his finger print on file for future reference. After many emails and continuous efforts I finally received my reimbursement check (US Postal Service Money Order) 9 months later. Yes, he had my money for 9 months. Kevin "Dean" Shook is a petty thief and is robbing money from good honest people on Craigslist. I have seen him advertise all accross California and even into the Nevada on Craigslist. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Buy your Dollhouses/Playhouses/Chinken Coops/etc.. locally and deal with a person face to face. Do not send him a deposit, you will never see anything from him... If you see him posting on craigslist, place an add and call him out, it really pisses him off, and ruins his current scams. If you are in need of any more details or if there is a class action suit against Mr. Shook I would love to participate. I can be reached a email address (Personal Information Removed) ...
