I am a busy guy with a B2B sales career and have not had the time to do as much physically activity recently so I decided to look into some slimming pills to give me a "little" help.

I looked around online aware that there were probably some dodgy companies out there and settled on “leam slim cleans” since they offered a 30 day trial for free (just paying for postage & packing). They seemed legitamte (i.e. http://www.consumerhealthanswers.com/lean-slim-cleanse-reviewed.html) and so I signed up on 23rd December 2011 for two 30 day trials, paying postage and packing of:-

23 Dec 11 LeanCleanse8669429 CD 9036 DEB £3.47

23 Dec 11 LeanSlim869425005 CD 9036 DEB £2.96

This was fine because this is what I had ordered. I did not receive any products until around 4th January when I received three large bottles of pills totalling 2x Lean Slim (2month supply) and 1x LeanCleanse (2 month supply). I did not question this at the time because I was not aware of the dosing at the time. Since you are supposed to only use 1 leanslim pill a day this is obviously 4 months worth!

I was shocked when on the 12th January and I checked my bank balance and there were payments I was not expecting:-

10 Jan 12 LeanCleanse8669429 CD 9036 DEB £57.95

11 Jan 12 LeanSlim869425005 CD 9036 DEB £57.11

I was immediately concerned and tried to contact the company. At the time I was asked to send an email to [email protected] to which I received no reply. I sent emails every day instructing them to contact me to discuss to refund my money and then I went t my bank and instructed them that I was being ripped off and I spoke to Lloyds fraud line who said I was unlikely to see my money again but would put processes into place to protect me if it happened again.

At this point I had written the money off as a learning experience. However you can see from the email attached that they contacted me on 3rd February to say they now aren't answering emails (which they didn't before anyway). Since I had considered the matter closed I did not bother wasting any breath as had sent an email to them on 15th January requesting a full refund and to cancel any and all subscriptions immediately.

I was horrified to find another payment had come out of my account yesterday. I finally called the company which might possibly be based in the United States of America (or at least the call centre).

They have denyed that they have receved any contact or that they have not sent their products as they deem fit. Since I did NOT receive the trial product before they said a trial period (18 days or something) in which to cancel the subscription I believe I ahve every right to ask for a full refund and to seek whatever forms possible to secure compensation and would have no hesitation to ensure that the company is disbanded for fraudulent marketing, taking payments that had not been personally authorised & misdirection of consumers.

I may be able to get some of the moeny back from the company that swindled me however I will pursue every recourse to bring them to justice and answer for their crimes.

Anything you can do to help aid this focus would be greatly appreciated and hoefully we cna ensure that companies will have to be open and honest about their products, as I am quite sure that I would have subscribed to this or some other process to supplement my weight loss for which I have now taken up mountain biking (cross country).

Kind regards

Neil Warren
