We paid Kevin Shook $275 via certified check for a deposit on a chicken coop. He advertised his services on Craigs List. After months of stringing us along with excuses about how he was in the hospital, had a family emergencies, his truck broke down, etc we finally threw in the towel.

Do not throw in the towel.... Make a police report and notify Kevin Shook that a report has been placed. Make sure local sherrfifs department is notified and make sure your bank is notified. Do not give up the fight against this petty thief..... -

Raider: I made one last demand to Kevin Shook a couple of weeks ago. I threatened to commence civil and criminal legal action should I not receive a full refund by 2/20/12. I emphasized to him that since I work in the legal field, I had no qualms about doing so, and had the expertise to carry out my threat. Much to my surprise, he responded to my email, and sent out a postal money order for a full refund. I cashed it over the weekend.
Good luck to all others. I think you need to be persistent and not be afraid to commence legal action in order to pressure this criminal. -

Good for you... I was fortunate after 9 months to get my money back also.... This was in June of last year (2011). I am not surprised that Kevin "Dean" Shook is still up to his traicks. If you are not persistant he will just take your money.... What a piece of #%$@!!!!

Hey Raiderbacker and Bigg Sean,
I wonder if your "Kevin Shook" is the same as my "Don Mecum"? It sounds like the exact same scam, the exact same excuses --- and with a chicken coop/shed no less. I paid through an on-line company back in March, and it looks like they are finally going to re-imburse me. Perhaps they are one in the same person ---- or perhaps not. Either way definitely a piece of #%&$!!!! (or two pieces of #%&$). -
