Actually this began happening over a year ago, and really started when i first bought the magic Jacks. I originally ordered it from a TV ad and only wanted to try it, as the fralse and fraudulent advertising offered a 30 free trial, but ai had to call a number and then after i gave my credit card number etc. they then told me they were sending me three Magic Jacks and nothing I could do would allow me to talk to a live persona so i could correct that. They then charged me with three and I couldn't find any way to return them to get my money back. So I resigned myself to using them, but then the hardware failed and even though I tried to call to tell them that and get a replacement, then they said I would have to pay still more for another hardware device, even though it was their equipment that failed. They said the devise was free but I'd hve to pay shipping and handling fee of $9.95 for each broken one though I did nothing to break them, they just have planned obsolesence of about 1 year and they they fail. Meanwhile they've been charging me for service on all three and I can't get them to stop. I was supposed to be able to receive voicemail messages on my email and even those have stoppoed coming though they keep debiting my credit card. They have a real good racket going. Now that they make us dependent on these Magic jacks, they keep making us pay for replacing their hardware. The costof the lost calls and messages and lost business due to their equipment failure is inestimable. This product SUCKS!

  • NEVER NEVER EVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR CREDIT CREDIT CARD NUMBER ESPECIALLY YOUR DEBIT CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE OR ONLINE UNLESS YOU HAVE RESEARCHED THE COMPANY THROUGH GOOGLE.COM....ALSO NOT A GOOD IDEA TO GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO FAMILY OR FRIENDS...PERIOD. THAT IS YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTY. CONTACT YOUR BANK OR GO TO THEM AND BLOCK THE AMOUNT . YOU USUALLY HAVE 48 HOURS HOLDING PERIOD AT THE BANK BEFORE IT CLEARS,(WELL THAT IS HOW MY BANK OPERATES) IF YOU ARE TOO LATE THEN JUST CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD (IT'S A LITTLE INCONVENIENT FOR US BUT WORTH IT) AND GET A NEW ONE. I HAD TO DO THAT AND GOT A NEW ONE THE SAME DAY. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TOO SO THAT WE CAN STOP THESE KINDS OF ABUSE THROUGH SCAMS.
