I have a company that got a great review on Angies list. They call me and signed me up for advertising on Angies List for $54 a month. Then I heard on TV that "companys cant pay to be on Angies List" so I called and emailed to cancel my advertising. They keep charging my card. I have left messages and gotten no reply. I do mot think it is an honest compnay and want nothing to do with them. THEY DO SELL ADVERTISING-AND COMPANYS CAN AND DO PAY TO BE ON IT.

You do realize that a listing on a website and advertising on a website are normally two different things, right? For example, you can't pay google to list your business in the search results, but you CAN advertise your business on google. The ad shows up NEXT TO the search listing results. Let's be sure it's really a scam, and post full details, before we post an angry scam report.
Not that I'm saying Angie's List isn't a ripoff, it could be. I don't know. I am just saying that the ripoff listed for Angie's List doesn't sound well researched or fully verified. -
