The company initially said I was referred to them by the Marriott. They offered two 6 days 5 nights vacation packages. I declined and was told that they offered payment plans and that the deal was transferrable to friends and family. There was a 30 month window to make vacations plans. I signed a 3 month payment plan agreement on 3/25/16, by 3/28 they charged my credit card $578; I reported the unauthorized charge to my creditor; another charge of $200 was done on April 4th. I'm currently disputing these charges. I checked the reservation link on Distant Palms Vacations website and they ask for income, occupation and details that lead to identity theft. Had it not been for their reference to the Marriott I hadn't proceeded.
