I booked a hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico based on information provided on Booking.com's website. It specifically stated the hotel was located 650ft from the beach / ocean, along with pictures of the beach front, etc. After booking a "non-refundable" room, I found out that the hotel was actually located aprox 600m or 1900ft from the beach. I complained on the basis of false advertising. Booking.com cited they're not responsible for the information on their site, and the content comes direct from the hotel itself. it's the hotels responsibility. This hotel has no intentions on refunding me my money based on an agreement that I wouldn't have entered into if the facts on Booking.com's website were accurate. Beware. I will be disputing this charge through my bank.
