i looked via internet for smoking hotels in blackpool.a web site called smokers united,which is a part of booking .com i went ahead on that basis and booked it.there web site also implied that a full english breakfast was also included which is fairly standard these days,on arrival at the hotel,which turned out to be filthy,smellyand run down was told in no certain manner that it was a no smoking hotel,breakfast was a extra 5pounds and demanded another ten pounds for the remote control for the tv,which reading the feedbacks you never got back.so without giving them my card decided not to stop there as i felt cheated,and anyway the place was a mess,even the rats were checking out.i contacted the hotel in question by the way is the grosvener albert road blackpoolbooking dot.com who claim never to charge you card to complain that on the basis that i had book what they had advertised was a smoking hotel when in fact it was not,that it was not fit for my requirements in more ways than one and i wished to cancel the booking,there first response was that they were not liable for the web site and the full cost would apply. i was having none of this and after several e mails they decided that they would refund me the full cost of the booking,they wanted full proof that i had paid the hotel,i never paid the hotel they did not get sight of my card,so either they passed on my card details to the hotel or they debited my card which they claim they do not ,they do not charge a booking fee either yet there was a extra pound took out of my account also i have sent them several e mails asking where my refund is and they are not repling to them the name of the hotel is the grosvener albert road blackpool
