I subscribed with Justcloud because they seemed to offer everything I wanted, including unlimited backup space, for which I paid extra.

Just received a notice from their "legal department" indicating that I was using the service for business backup and was told my files would be deleted if I did not upgrade to a business account.

I have some personal files which may look like business files, but I am not backing up a business, just have a large number of personal files between my wife and I who are both business faculty members at a university.

I telephoned support, and was told that I was backing up too much data. I asked what they meant by unlimited backup... no answer. I would have to talk with their legal department. Could the connect me please? No, I can only contact legal by email.

Obviously, Justcloud made a pricing mistake and are now extorting their users by moving them to a more expensive business plan. This is bald faced extortion! Plain and simple.

Someone with the means to do so needs to sue their buttocks off! What they are doing is despicable. Certainly fraudulent on the face of it, leading to extortion in the end.

I upgraded under duress, as I can't afford to lose my files. Have had numerous issues since updating, but my main beef is that I don't like either fraud or extortion.

Stay away from this company at all costs!

While they claim to be based in the UK, I have reason to think they are actually based and operated out of India, another case of fraud? Perhaps.
