We have CenturyLink as our provider for phone service. This includes Internet and Home Phone and wireless phone, (bundling) provided by Verizon. CenturyLink and Verizon are partners. The billing statement is sent once a month by CenturyLink and includes the Verizon charges and account details of the Wireless service.
On Dec.30, 2012, I spoke via the phone,to a Verizon Agent and placed a new order for a wireless phone and added a new service (data plan)to the all ready existing wireless number. With a much lower price quoted by the agent, including the data plan service, I was disturbed to get a confirmation order via email with totally different prices, then my new phone arrived just a few days later. I didn't open the package, immediately called Verizon and CenturyLink to cancel service and returned the unopened shipment. I was told by CenturyLink that since I returned the phone within the time frame, I would not be charged. i cancelled the order for new phone service with Centurylink and requested the existing wireless phone number to be put back on the same plan, but wanted to add text messaging. Never using the phone line and didn't know the number to make or receive calls, I have been billed an astronomical fee every month since Feb 5, 2013, March 5th and now April 5th. I have spent countless days and a minimum of 20 hours talking to CenturyLink and being told that I need to call Verizon because their computers don't interface. I thought it ironic that I have had three way calls with CenturyLink and Verizon. Still, after agreeing and accepting to pay an amount to squash this whole thing, I opened my bill and discovered there is still a remaining balance.
I am no longer willing to agree to pay for something I do not owe. After realizing my last conversation and my notes were absolutely pointless, I am asking you for help.
