I received a letter from "Claim Services" stating I was the beneficiary of an unclaimed settlement of $80,000.00 dollars. Along with the letter was a check for $2362.76. The letter also stated not to cash the check before I call them? The Check was from "Lone Star Express" out of Dallas Texas, from "The First National Bank of Central Texas, which are legal business.

Now the old saying is "If its to good to be true, than it probably is." So I started digging on Google and the first thing I found were several other claims about this same thing except the person involved was a "John Carter" and the name on my letter was from a "Michael Anderson"

I can only guess that these too idiots from Canada think we Americans are stupid and will fall into this trap. YES THIS IS A SCAM and be for warned do not cash the check, you could be charged with cashing a forged check.
