When I signed up to localnet sometime in late april early may (which I never used the service anyways, but still had to pay for it) they told me there were no contracts, I could cancel anytime it was suppose to be 23.99 the first month 13.99 a month after that. And I flat asked if I cancelled If I would be charge they said no! I have a witness who was on the phone with me, so two weeks later I called to cancel and they said it had to be a written notice! They did not tell me that at first, So they gave this address that sounded like website, they did not tell me It was an email address on thier webite, so I called back and told them that I couldnt get it to work, they said was good and again they made it sound like a website, so I kept trying the next day, I called and found out that it was a email address, but this time they didn't tell me it was on thier website. So I tried emailing them but didnt work so I called again and again and finally found out that it was on thier website,So I did finally cancel, But they still wanted the money for the first month, I told them that I didnt want it. That I never used it but they said when I gave them the card number I signed agreement which they didnt tell me that first, And finally I think in july or august I got aletter saying if I dont pay they will take me to court, My family and friends thought I a good chance on winning, I just dont like legal situtions, but by then it was 37.50, and I really dont have money to waste like this I am a disabeled 27 yr old with a 4 yr old son getting social security which in this economy is not much, all I want is the money back I paid and this reported, so there is a better chance that this wont happen again to someone else! I did report to better business bureau. But I dont think thats enough. So please help me get my money back! THANKS!!! Stephanie Scott
