Ebay auction of assortment 21 pieces of gold jewelry, from 10KT, 12 KT GF, 14 KT, lockets, chains. Buyer won at $500. Paid on PP. I shipped. She emailed and said she wanted to return some of them because they were GF which was clearly stated in the listing. I said I'd do it because I am a good merchant. Averaged out and told her I'd give her the avg. price per item. I did not have to do this at all. she said NOT she wanted 3 x that amount. Then she said she's an atty and I told her I don't care who she is, she is a scammer. She disputed with PP. I removed as much of the money as I could from my PP acct in the meantime. I answered the dispute in their 100 character format. I called them, The girl on the phone was hostile, obnoxious and making fun of me. She said Tough, we are on the buyer's side. Then I got an unannounced package in the mail. I refused it. I state in my Terms and conditions that I have to agree to receiving returns. I refused the package. It went back to her. Paypal is required to notify sellers of returns BEFORE they arrive and i got the notification two days later. I set up new PP acct. they say I still owe them 400 and some bucks. I told them they can shove it. I won't pay it. Not now, not ever. I don't have the dates right on this because I just found this site, while browsing for something else. I take Credit cards only on PP, for anything like jewelry, valuables, etc. I refuse to deal with them unless absolutely no other option and then, I might not sell the item, if the buyer is so uptight about giving me a credit card, or will not send a check. I have a 100% rating on ebay.
