This was actually my father-in-law,he was sent a post card in the mail stating that he could become an independent refund processor. (FHA & HUD refunds).
I looked it up and found that this a scam and they prey on elderly folks that are on fixed incomes. They charge 33.00 per month. I went to the FHA website, and they warn people about this business scam.

Thanks for your time!!!

  • I received a post-card in the mail with no company name or address on it and I suspected that it was a scam. They want you to pay them $3.91, shipping and handling for the package. I called the number on the post-card and spoke to a woman, who askd for the reservation number. I proceeded to ask her questions and she became angered by my questions. I already knew it was a scam, and I then hung up on her. She claimed to be in Utah and the home office is in wyoming but she did not have any information on the location of the company doing business as"SMART TOOLS". I tell you these scam people are out of control and something needs to be done to protect us.
