This landlord pretended to be so nice and an upstanding person. He claimed to have hundreds of properties fro rent.
He Took $100.00 Check to hold and $30.00 Application fee. Check wasn't suppose to be deposited until a house I liked and could afford was found and passed an inspection. Plus the Application was ran and passed. The $100.00 was to show I was for sure interested in renting one of them and he described a lot of them, how they were fenced and he takes dogs.
He obviously left the meeting and cashed both checks. Three weeks later after many texts, phone calls (NEVER answers) only responds by text when he feels like it. He showed me ONE house and said thats it. The house does not fit my needs and he refuses to give me back my money.
I have tried non stop during this whole process to get this man to give me places to see of "all these homes" anything. NOTHING. It is a total scam. Then when a friend of mine was looking just to see what he would do she call him and he was sure sending her address's. So I dont know but probably trying to get another deposit? Another scam?
I am disabled and I have tried to be nice and in everyway get my 100.00 back and this landlord is unkind and will not even EVER pick up his phone. The property he wants to force me into (in a month when I need to move) still has a tenant. He has had a rental sign in the yard the whole time. Yet still will not give me my 100.00
Scam. He even lies by text and says he showed me a bunch of houses and I have every text message. Unbelievable. Like a used car salesman. I can't imagine if you did rent a house from him. GOOD LUCK. RUN.

This person drove by multiple properties that I had for rent. She had very specific needs and a low budget to work with. She finally found one she liked and it fit her needs and budget. This property was currently occupied but would be vacant soon. We made an appointment with the current tenant to view the property. She liked the property and put $100 down toward to secure the place since I had multiple people wanting the place. We both signed a document that stated that the deposit was non-refundable if she chose not to rent the property. When the tenant moved out, I informed her that the place was ready. She told me she was not ready yet and wanted me to hold it for a month. This would cause me to lose one month’s rent while I waited for her. After the month had passed she informed me that she no longer wanted the place and wanted her $100 back. I told her that I had held the place for her and turned down multiple other prospective tenants because she agreed to rent the place with her non-refundable deposit. I lost over a month’s rent due to her backing out of her non-refundable deposit.
