  • They are crooks and don't care who they hurt,as long as they get their money. They'll con as many people as they can and then I'll bet they "go out of business". They will then start up under a new name and start over.
I don't know where everyone else lives, but if everyone complained to the same office I think something would get done. I have learned by past experiences that by yourself it's hard. In a group people listen. I'm Long Island, NY.
    Where are you?

  • I ordered the free trial for $2.95 on 5/29/2012. I used a virtual credit card number which was good on only one charge. I have my credit card statement to prove that they charged $2.95. They later harassed me with mails saying that they tried to send new shipment, but my credit card number was no longer good. I sent them a mail saying that I never ordered any new shipment and they should stop this unethical behavior. Since I never received that new shipment, I thought that would be the end of it. I just got another letter from them today saying that I owe them $98.16 on some phantom shipment, and they threatened to turn me over to some collection agent. I don't know if there is any use reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Does anybody having any idea to get these unethical people out of business?

  • There is actually an epidemic of people that go online to order things and then do not read the terms and conditions of the products that they buy. I have used Alore for months and it is a wonderful product!! Yes they will charge you if you do not cancel your membership, but what company wouldn't? This could all be avoided if people would actually take the time to read the terms and conditions BEFORE they give out their credit card information to companies. Duh.

  • Shortly after I posted this report, Nue Science refunded my $ 79.95. I believe that the customer service agents are trained to try to intimidate customers and stop at nothing to keep from giving any refunds under any conditions. I know if I had not continued to fight this that I would be stuck paying for something that I never received. I still advise consumers to avoid this company.

  • Dear Park68: I was also scammed by a similar facial product called Pura Silk: parent co. is Natural Health Network. Two or more offices in the U.S. with an 800 phone number for customer "service". I made a huge mistake I will NEVER make again: I did NOT read the "terms & conditions" BEFORE I agreed to the 14 day trial of Pura Silk! Big mistake, since the day after my order was placed, two charges appeared on my credit card statement, one for $25.87 and the other, more alarming, for $89.99. I immediately took all legal steps necessary to get myself out of the mess I had unwittingly created for myself, and at the worst possible time: during the Christmas Holiday season! I fought with their company reps! They were rude and very unhelpful. I heard "terms & conditions" and "Ma'aam" at least 5 times during one short conversation with a young lady who I could barely hear as she had her radio turned up so loud! And how could she hear me? I hung up after going nowhere fast, and phoned again, later on after I had cooled off. My anxiety level was sky-high. Thankfully, a much nicer man answered the phone that time, and I was able to secure a very important RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION number, which we must have in order to return the package back to them, ASAP in order to meet that 14 day trial "deadline" or I would have been legally liable for all charges that I had agreed to when I signed up for the $4.95 trial (aka scam). It cost me extra $ to pay for shipping charges and to have a tracking number so the company had to refund some of those charges as I know the package made it back to their warehouse within the 14 day trial. Those companies are like the pop up ads we have on-line. They pop-up, getting our attention and telling us we need their product because it is the BEST of course, and it will help get rid of those nasty wrinkles and lines we "detest." It seems that they encourage us to dislike how we look by their ads. Anyway, after working diligently and quickly I was able to receive an almost 100% complete refund of all charges, except for the $4.95 shipping charges. Why? Because I wrote them an email and also posted on their website (which, amazingly is STILL THERE WITH MY NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND COMPLAINTS) my opinion of their company and what their company had tried to do to me. I happen to be one of the fortunate people. Other people have not been as fortunate, since it seems they did not read the terms & conditions like I did, but in my case, I read them the very next day and realized with horror exactly what I had authorized them to charge on my credit card. I am hoping that by continuing to tell my story and sharing my own experiences with others, that fewer people will fall victim (as that is what we really are) to their scams. And if you check on-line as to one of the very best facial products available, it is through a very reputable company, Lancome and it got much higher "marks" than Pura Silk, in fact Pura Silk is not even listed there. I want to fight back! Please fight back NOW! You still have time. But, please try to find the terms & conditions that you did agree to, and hopefully you can figure some legal way out of it. It sounds like your trial period is over, which means that the company NueScience can legally charge your credit card that amount. Their telephone reps. will tell you that you did agree to the credit card charges when you signed up for the trial and basically it is your own fault for not reading the terms & conditions, and now you must abide by them. I would not give up, though. Tell them you plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in your area. (That seemed to work for another woman who was scammed like me re: Pura Silk. As soon as Natural Health Network received some kind of letter from the BBB in the Rhode Island, Maine area of the East Coast, she DID RECEIVE a complete credit back to her credit card.) I would definitely do that. Do NOT SEND future shipments back marked "Refused, Return to Sender" since you are still liable for the product cost! And send them an email to whichever address you have for their company, or a registered letter to whichever address you have, telling them to CANCEL ANY AND ALL FUTURE AUTO SHIPMENTS, PERIOD. And make and keep photocopies of everything in the event the dispute dept. of your credit card company needs them as proof that you did everything in your power, and legally to stop them from continually charging your credit card. I hope to hear good news from you one day! Christine

  • Melissa,

You must take action. They did the same thing to me, and I am going to make them my hobby until I get my money back.

This company changes addresses often. They gave me a different address to mail my stuff back to, saying they had just moved.
The address they supposedly just moved to is NUE SCIENCE - West Coast Distribution Center.
5300 Ontario Mills Pkwy, Unit 400
    Ontario, CA 91764

    1. File a complaint with the BBB. Send a copy of the ad you responded to .
    2. File a compliant with the FTC. They are doing the same over the NET; that makes the FTC be involved.

    3. File a complaint with the United States Postal Inspectors Office.
These men are federal agents. When this company sent their product to you snail mail, they involved the Federal government. You cannot by federal law conduct fraud via the mail

    4. Email he company and call them daily. They change this, but go to the bottom of their ads for contact us. Keep a copy of your emails.

    5. File a complaint with your State Attorney General

You can file all of these complaints online.

I agree, this company is practicing fraud on the internet. The most important thing you must do is change the account number that they have. They charged you once and will do it again.

Good luck. I am fighting them too.

  • Hello Ccorrcono,

    I suggest four things:
File a report with the FTC. You can do it online. The address the company has today is NUE SCIENCE - West Coast Distribution Center.
5300 Ontario Mills Pkwy, Unit 400
    Ontario, CA 91764

    2. File a report with the BBB and your State Attorney General (consummer fraud division).

    3. File a report with the Postal Inspection Service. This company mailed the product through snail mail. That involved a Federal agency, and they do not tolerate fraud and scams.

    4. Change your credit or debit card number immediately so they will not keep charging you.

This company refuses to recognize a return unless the have issued you a RMA #. It is hard to find them to get a RMA#. They will give you the run around.

    Good luck.

They are scammers and theives, no doubt about it.

  • I have had the same experince with NueScience. I ordered the product on 12/10 and they sent it by snail mail. They consider your trial to begin on the day you order. I used the product 1 1/2 weeks and attempted to return it. I talked to people in foreign countries who could not speak English. They could not tell me where to return the product. The company seems to change addresses and website locations often, and I too got several 404. I fianlly made contact with them on 12/27. They had been closed for Christmas, etc. They gave me permission to return my trial and gave me the RN#. However, within hours, they had charged my credit card for over $99. As I undestand it, I will have to pay shipping charges both ways if they send me product. Youcannot refuse a shipment and just send it back to them. They have your credit card. What else will show up charged to the card? I am requesting that my card company issue me a new card with a different number. I am filing compliants with the BBB, the FTC, and the Postal Inspection office. Conducting fraudalant business thorugh the mail is a Federal offense, so it seems. Do not fall for their free tiral. Once they have you credit card company ,they have you.
Here is what their agreement tells you-- what they do not tell you is that they will delay shipment and then drag their feet telling you how to return until the "trial time" is up, then they charge your credit card. They are scammers!

  • Ouch! I hope you get your money back. Make sure you provide these folks with evidence. Send them a copy of your bank statement as well as any emails you received from Nue Beauty with evidence of charges. Might also be worthwhile to go to their website and take a screenshot of what they're promising with the "sample."
