I sold my 1999 Chevy Silverado Z71 with 4 wheel Drive to this dealership due to I am on disability and I had a few debts that I needed to pay and was hoping income tax check would have came so I did,nt have to sell it to them but it did,nt so I had to do what I needed to to make my finances work.The Car Store in Laurel Deleware said over the phone they would give me $4000.00 for it and they knew it needed a left front Barke sensor but when I took it to the dealership the buyer for the dealership got with the Used car manager and then a mechanic came in the picture and came and said without even taking it apart I know the left front hub bearing needs to be replaced and I questioned his diagnosis on that work he said had to be done.The Car Store Buyer than took the truck back in the garage to let their Mechanic go over it and with 10 min.he brought it back out which I thought was way to fast to go over anything.well than the offer to me dropped to $3800.00 and I was in a bind financial so I took that offer.A few days later after our income tax check did go in the bank I called them up to see what I could buy the truck back and he told me $7625.00 and I said thats way high and than he said if I wanted to get it back I had to hurry and get in there to at least put something down on it so no one could sell it to another customer so I had my wife stop in after she was done working and she put $100.00 down on it.The Sales Manager that handled all this was also the guy that was involved in the purchase from me to them and his name is John Ellerbusch.When I took it to them to sell it they told me book value on my truck for them to resell on there lot was $5800.00 in very good condition but I was an autobody tech for years and with the dents in the hood from hurricane Irene and the few on the truck body itself and inside the truck bed and 122000 miles on it I checked what this truck is worth for resale and I rate it at most fair to good becaause it did need very little work except as I said body work and paint also in fair condition its resale value is $4284.00 and in good condition its value its worth is $4859.00 but when it was all said and done Ellerbusch ask me what I could put down and I said $500.00 and maybe if I can get some more cash up to a $1000.00 but did,nt promise on that.Well he added the $1000.00 down without my okay to the price he gave me on the truck which was already inflated way beyond book value and what they said they could only list it at on there lot which put it up to $8725.00 along with other charges and within 3 to 5 minutes after he got my info he had a loan already approved and with that loan the total for me to get my pick up back the total came to $12,297.58 for a 1999 chevy pick up truck.I want to say with the injuries I recieved over the years and that includes head injuries ny thinking takes time to sink in on decisions and it took me a few days to relize they really took advantage of me and scamed me and and in my book broke the law due to the way they ripped me and I am so sure alot of other people off taking advantage of them.Also they said the replaced the hub bearing and changed the oil and filter and topped off all fluid levels and I can assure u they did,nt for sure change the oil & filter because the oils when I pull the dip stick out is as balck as coal and the filter is the one my son put on in 2010 at the sevice Station he worked at the time.also the abs sensor that was bad was not replaced and I almost bet the Hub bearing was never bad or replaced either.They also told me when I took it to them to buy the Oxygen sensor was bad but you know its still the old one on the motor.I have an email from the Car store stateing they cahanged the hub bearing and oil & filter and as I said none of that was done.The complaint I filed with the Better Bussiness Bureau that they sent to the they answered that complaint they sent to them they daid Vaiour repairs on it and changed the oil & filter and agian the lied on that report.I had to send the BBB bureau proof they did,nt do what they said they did on this truck because they were not going to go any further on it unless I had proof the lied on that report to the BBB bureau and now I am waiting to see what they are going to do and what action they will take to get this whole thing closed and redone to where it a fair and honest purchase back I made with them.I hope what I just told u in this complaint your agency can do something against the Car Store also so they don,t take advantage of any other human being.If you need copies of the paper work I got from them just let me know and I will have my wife fax it to yous.All I know Ineed your help in everyway and thanks in advance for whatever yous can do.
