I am trying to help an elderly friend figure out how in the world a Bank of America master card was able to sucessfully charge a onetime purchase of $9,800 for this timeshare. At this time the monthly interest fees for the credit card are $158 per MONTH! Shame on Bank of America! They are somehow connected to RCI and the RCI elite reward points for purchases. My friend has earned a BIG reward points worth $75 dollars. That's right, a one time purchase of $9,800 got her points not money. As I continue to do research regarding this problem I have discovered that the BBB of Texas (Better Business Bureau) has given this resort/timeshare company an F rating. This is really going to be aggravating to straighten out and I really hope we can file a complaint with the Missouri Attorney Geneeral's office and the Federal Trade Commission.
Update: 03/04/2012
We only began this week (3-1-12) in researching the paper trail for this mess. I hope no one else has to face this problem.
