Mine is the same sad story as the others. I didn't consider myself to be naive when I contacted the Criagslist seller, Phillip Gantner, who was strangely out of town for his daughter's wedding. He was selling his boat b/c he need more money for the wedding. The Craigslist listing was in a small town along my daily commute. The boat was unavaible to see since he was out of town. My emails were promptly answered and he referred me to NAT, who was going to handle the sell, holding my money until the 10 day inspection period was over. Like the other complaints, my research turned up nothing buy positive reviews and advice about using the "real" Net Assitant Trader at www.netassistanttrader.com. There were some "funny" things about the website and the whole transaction that I chose to ignore, due to the tremendous deal I thought I was getting. The grammar and syntax was off, no contact phone numbers, there was no link to the the terms and conditions at the bottom of the registration. Of course, the money had to be wired (per the sellers instructions) and would have to go to one of their international agents (via Barclays in London)since they were so busy with transactions all over the country. They sent me an invoice once I registered, and believing their legitimacy I wired the money. 5 Days later I received a confirmation and shipping instructions offering details of delivery date and time. Of course, no delivery and no returned communication. I posted a comment on the NAT blog site regarding Scams and it has since been removed. The fraudsters are certainly managing on-line reviews and content. I noticed that several of the blog sites that I visited to read comments and reviews were Wordpress sites, just like theirs. I have reported to the IC3 and will report to FTC as well as local authorities.
