On 11/25/11 I signed up to for a website to be created for my business that I was starting, the total balance that I authorized was $14.95. The Brain Host site kept opting for me to upgrade the service for additional fees. I kept declining all for the upgrades as soon as I entered my debit card information I received a text from my bank that my account was overdrawn. I then went to my banks web site and there was a charge for 181.75! I immediately called Brain Host and advised a customer service rep. (Roxanne) of the issue. She advised me that they would refund only 166.80. I then advised her that I wanted the entire balance of 181.75 that was taken out of my account to be returned as this caused an overdraft on my checking account and that I also wanted the fee of 35.00 that I was charged from my bank. I asked to speak with her supervisor, she started to be very rude and talk over me. She simply stated, "Why? You will just get the same results." I advised her that I would take my chances, and if they did not return the full balance plus the bank fee, that I would call the BBB and file a complaint. Roxanne asked why I would do that. I advised her that again, her company took unauthorized money out of my account. She then put me on hold again. Roxanne then came back on the line and advised that they would return the balance of 181.75 within 24 hrs and that she would note the account that I requested my bank fee returned. I advised her that a note was not good enough and that I wanted a guarantee that the fee would also be returned. She put me on hold yet again; when she came back she stated that they would return the full balance of 181.75 plus the 35.00 bank fee to my account within 24 hours. It now has been well over the 24 hour time frame and the money still has not been returned to my account. I called Brain Host again and the rep today advised me that she sees the notes on my account; however I would need to call back on Monday as the refund department is closed today.
