My Epson printer was not printing well, so I called their support line. Somehow I got transferred to IT support, which turned out to be a operator from Privacy Essentials. After having been do the diagnostics and cleaning of my printer and it still not working. He told me my printer was not working due to a virus and he would have to clean up my computer remotely. This took about one hour. The charge was 199.00. I was assured that this program "Privacy Essentials' would also work on all computers in my home network. The printer still doesn't work right, but I felt better having an antivirus program and my laptop clean. Noticing it was not automatically cleaning up my desk top computer on my network, I tried called the 24/7 support line as well as the line on the website for general info. Both lines noted there was no one available to take my call.
I would like someone to look into this and find out what these guys are up to.
