My computer got a virus similar to ransom-ware. I called Geeks On Site and was assured that they could fix it. I authorized them to take over my computer which they did, for over 3 hours, then they told me it was fixed after they had me try a few operations with my computer. However, later in the day the computer froze up and I could not use it at all....just a frozen screen. The next day I called them again and they tried another time, identical to the process and the same results. On April 30 I called again and was assured that a "senior tech" would correct the problem. After about 4 hours I was told that she could not fix the problem and that for another charge they would send a tech to my home to fix my computer (for about another $149 !). I told them I would rather have someone local do it for that and that I wanted my money back (charge card). They said no. After another call they agreed to refund 1/2 of the $149 charge. I have received NO satisfactory service from Geeks On Site, and I spent another $150 locally and they fixed my computer in one day. My bank tells me that since I received a partial refund, I probably would have trouble getting my $74.50 back. NO RESULTS from Geeks On Site. AVOID THEM!
