I received a phone call from the company asking for basic information for a loan I have been approval for. The minimum amount was for $2,000 and so I said yes. That would take care my immediate needs. So he assigned me a number and asked me to call 1-909-666-4425 for details.

I did, and Michael Maxwell answered and told me he was in california and would assist me, but first give me the number assigned, which I did. He took all the information and then told me in order to proceed, go to Walgreens and pick up a greendot moneypak and place $269.00 on it. I asked him why and he said it was to show I could afford the monthly payment. Once done, I would have the funds transferred into my checking account. I asked him why I should pay up front, and he said that no money will be taken from the card, but rather prove to them I could make the monthly payment. He wanted me to call as soon as the card was ready, and then he would transfer the $2,000 into my account.

So, since no money was to be withdrawn, I would still have the money on the card. So I did.

I watched the clock for the 45 minutes he said it would take. Then in 55 minutes I checked my bank and no money was there. I became suspicious and checked the money on the money pak and it was 0. I have tried to call Michael several times since then but no live person answers the phone. I had this problem on the day I got the card and tried to call him. He didn't answer the first time but did on the third try. That was when he told me the money would be on the way and once sent he will send me confirmation via text on my mobile phone. I have received no such message.

So I have been scammed out of $269 plus the card cost of $4.95.
