I received 3 phone calls from Jerry Benson with a very heavy Indian accent claiming to be from this agency. He was trying to reach me regarding important actions that have been started against me. I was instructed to call him back at (213) 289-3832 with my retained attorney calling with me. Delayed calling would result in a legal mess for me. The number on my caller ID was (347) 926-7026.

- I also have been receiving phone calls from the same (213) 289-3832 number. Today they left a message on my answering machine. The call sounded urgent, and the person said his name was Mark Brown, but he sounded Indian also. He told me our phone call was being recorded and If I didn't get money to him today, He would hang up and call the local authorities and I would go to jail. He said he had all my information including my bank account information and how much was in each of my accounts and that if I lied to him about anything he had a record of it on the phone call. I told him if he could see my info he could tell that I had 7 dollars in my account. He told me he would wait on the line while I called from my cell to find someone to give me the money. I called my husband at work and he told me to try and call the police or some one else about the call and find out if it was legit. When I got back to the phone call with the supposed agent, he told me that He was feeling a little sorry for me and would give me till the end of the day to get him some money. I was to make sure I called back on this same number. I talked with a friend of my daughters that works for the IRS. She told me that an agent needs to give you his badge number, and that they do not call or come to your house on a Saturday. She is going to report the number to her supervisor at the IRS also. Please pass this info on to others with Tax issues. Apparently if you owe the IRS money, your info is public record and any one can access your info.
