I posted an ad on Caigslist for a roommate for 800 dollars a month. When I met Robb, he moved in on August 10th,and promised to have the rent from half of August as well as full september paid for on September 1st. Shortly before the first he said he wasnt getting paid until the third. I gave him linency and told him that'd be fine. come time the first, I found a not written by Robb explaining that his car had a mechanics lean on it and he gave his paycheck to the mechanic, but he promised that his mother would transfer him the money on the 5th. On the 5th he told me that his mom had a stroke and was in the hospital. While struggling to find money for the next few days, he told me that he would personaly make the 5 hour drive to his mothers house to collect 1500 dollars (my rent due now with late fees) on the 10th. Well about 4 hours after he left he texcted me ssaying that he's on his way home because his sister convinced his mother to not give him the money. On the morning of September 14th, he said that his friend up in Brea would give him the money he needed if he moves up there with him to get his life back on track. I asked to go with but he said that he'd rather give me the address and meet him there. I aggreed and helped him pack his belongings into his BMW that he admittedly took from his ex girl friend. I even gave him 20 bucks in gas to gelp him get up there. We left at the same time but I lost him on the freeway. When I got to the address he gave me, it was a plaza in Brea. Not an apartment. When I called him to ask about the mix up, he sent all my calls to voice mail. I am now looking at getting evicted if I don't pay the landlord all the back rent plus all of October's rent on the first. I am currently searching for his mailing address to serve him court papers. Thats actually how I found this site. Unbelievable that a 49 year old can live with himself knowing he takes advantage of people like this.
