I inquired with this company about buying a Sim card for my iphone. I was asked numerous questions about the iphone I was trying to purchase the Sim card for. I purchased the Sim card and received it by FedEx on 3/11/2013. On 3/16/2013 I activated (by calling the call center at Straight Talk) the phone and my old phone (a Samsung Straight Talk phone) was deactivated by Straight Talk. However, the new Sim card was not compatible with Straight Talk because I had been sold a Tmobile Sim card. Straight Talk had failed to inform me that my AT&T iphone 3G was not compatible with there company. Even though the rep for Straight Talk had taken my information about the iphone. Upon receiving this information talked with another rep and was informed on 3/16/2013 at 8pm, to turn my phone off and in 24 hours I would have service to my original Straight Talk phone. When this did not happen I called Straight Talk back and spoke to a supervisor and he told me, "I am not a magician, and you can just go buy another phone and minutes!" I asked his name (which he refused to give to me)so I asked to speak with his supervisor and he said "sure, hold on" and then he hung up on me! On 3/17/2013 I called and yet another rep told me to please be patient and my phone would be on soon. On 3/18/2013 I again called Straight talk and was told by yet another rep that my SIM Card in my Straight Talk phone had been deactivated and I would have to wait 3-5 business days for a new SIM card. When I asked to speak with her supervisor's supervisor she put me on hold 3 separate times ( I was on hold over 35 minutes total waiting on the supervisor) and finally she said "let me just give you your ticket number for your new SIM card" because the supervisor was still in a meeting. I am so disgruntled and can not believe the poor customer service and rude behavior/actions by these representatives. I shop at Wal-Mart weekly and this is how I was informed about Straight talk . I have been a satisfied customer with Straight Talk for years, I always tell my friends and co-workers what an awesome company Wal-Mart and Straight Talk are, but now I am not so sure. I should not have to be without a phone for over a week. This is beyond inconvienent, it is absolutely ridiculous. I even asked if the new SIM card could be FedExed or overnighted to me and the response was "no, Straight Talk does not do that." I could understand if I was the one who had made this mistake, however it was this company that sold me an item that was no good for me. I am the customer, so if I give the information asked of me about my phone in order to purchase the correct product from your company, then I expect the rep for the company to sell me the correct item.
