Called to have my dryer checked and was told by A@E rep. that it would cost $75.00 to have a tech come out . When I called back to set up an appointment I was told that it cost $129.00 . I told the rep that I had been told $75 and she said oh no that was wrong . So I went ahead and made the appointment . When the tech arrived he checked over the dryer and said that it would be cheaper to buy a new one . While he was writing up the bill he asked why I took the $129 amount when I could have paid $75 . When I called A@E they said I could not have been told $75 because their policy was if the tech even pulls a flashlight out of his bag it is a labor charge and that means $129 . The $75 is a diagnosis fee only and when I contacted their "customer interaction" dept. they said $129 was the fee for the type of dryer it was . This sounds like a bait and switch deal to me .
