I was called with a offer of a loan I had applied for on or around 31 August 2012 from Mr. Ian of Credit One Total. It turned out that I did not qualify because of my low credit score. So Credit One Total offered me a option to have my credit record cleaned up to bring my scores in range to reapply for the loan within thirty days. So, after an in depth conversation with Mr. Ian we agreed to a fee of $492.80 to get started with the process. The contract were emailed to me on 31 Aug to be signed and emailed back. I gave Mr. Ian check #150 including my routing and checking account number with the agreement that the funds would be withdrawn on 3 Sept 2012. I called Mr. Ian on 3 Sept 2012 and explained to him that I had some unexpected expenses over the weekend and that I would have to cancel the transaction. He replied that he would check to see if he could have the transaction cancelled and would call me back. Mind you I never signed any contract. I didn’t receive a call back that day. On 5 Sept 2012 the funds were withdrawn from my checking account. I didn’t realize until around 7 Sept 2012. On 7 and 8 Sept 2012 I called Mr. Ian and left messages on his voice mail to call me back to discuss the fee to be returned back to me. On 10 Sept 2012 I started calling Mr. Ian’s number but changed the last digit thinking that I might get somebody else in the department. I happen to come in contact with the IT Department and spoke with a gentleman (his name escapes me) and asked if he would pass on a message to someone that was in charge of that department. I said he would. I gave him my name and contact number. After not hearing from anyone I call the IT department again on or around 12 Sept 2012 and got the same gentleman and he told me he had pass the message on. I asked him to whom did he give the message to but got no reply. So I requested that he try again. On 12 Sept 2012 I again started call Mr. Ian’s number and changed the last digit and got a voice mailbox of Mr. Stern. Mr. Stern is Mr. Ian’s boss. I left a message and Mr. Stern called me back on 14 Sept 2012. I explained to him my situation and he said he would go to accounting to check on what the problem was in getting my funds back. He said he would call me back, but he didn’t. I called Mr. Stern and Mr. Ian on 18 Sept 2012 and Mr. Stern returned my call on that same day and said he would go back to accounting and would call me back. He has not call me back yet.
