(This is the narrative I gave to my claim with PayPal. Enjoy.)

The original order for this file was made for a pair of Ecco Remote Boots.

After buying a pair of shoes elsewhere that were slightly too large and finding myself unable to return them, the deal of a half-priced pair of the same model revealing itself in google search has finally turned out too good to be true.

I filed a complaint with this order two days after I made the purchase, as I was beginning to suspect that I had been the part of a scamming operation. I felt unease when I failed to receive any sort of order confirmation, and then was fully convinced that this was a scam when the url I had placed the order through was no longer online/accessible, and promptly filed a complaint with PayPal.

Approximately ten days after filing the complaint, today, I found that PayPal had supplied me with a tracking number for the order, and to my reserved relief, the tracking showed the package had been delivered. Upon retrieving it from my mailbox, I was surprised to find it was small 7" x 4" package delivered from China. Things finally ended, but nonetheless took a strange turn of events, when the small package was found to only contain a pliable rubber pencil! I have taken photos of this rubber pencil, and am quite amused in trying to figure out how I can jerry rig this piece of plastic to function as a piece of footwear. Alas, this is to no avail. I have found myself to be the butt of a joke originating somewhere in (China, US, UK?)

I would like a refund, but I understand that this "company" has gone through the trouble of entertaining me, and has supplied me with a interesting story and even more interesting means of writing it down. I'd rather not spend the money to send it back, so I'll keep the rubber pencil, which I guess may have a market value of around $0.50. This sum may be taken out of the refund I expect for the shoes I failed to receive.

Thank you for hearing out this complaint.

p.s. Consider I placed this order as Mercury began to retrograde (Nov 6.)
