I just realized that this company has been taking funds from my account without my permission since the Fall of 2010. I never do preauthorize anything from my accounts because it is to hard to get your funds back whenever there is a so-called misunderstanding. A few years back, a young man came to my door and asked if my wife and I would like to see our kids scores go up in school. What parents would not, we said. He seemed to be quite knowledgeable about my family. His words were very carefully placed and it appeared he was working with the local school district. There were four books dealing in a wide range of subject matter, for a cost of about $1,500.00. He told us that we did not have to pay at that time, but he would hand deliver the books once they arrived. Sure enough, they arrived about the time he said they would and we paid with a check. Until this day I can not make heads or tails out those books. To day I was just taking a glance at todays mail, I open a bank statement (which is something that my wife generally takes care of, the money matters) and I noticed a preauthorized withdrawal. This instantly caused all the flags to go up and alarms to go off, because we just don't do the preauthorize withdrawal. So I wrote down accounting information and name. Went online and goggled swadvantage.com, got the telephone number and called. Sure enough, they had my name and information, and the young man stated they had been pulling from our account since October 2010. The room went dark around me all of a sudden. How did this happen, and how did it go on for so long undetected? He told me when we signed for our books that same sginature gave them the okay to pull from our bank account using the information on the check, account number, and the electronic wiring number for our bank. I let him know very clearly and without any misunderstanding we never agreed to any such thing. I also told him that swadvantage had made a unilateral decision and I would be contacting my family attorney, as while as the nearest US Attorney first thing the next day. He agreed to stop the withdrawal and back pay us for the past three months. I told him that was not good enough, I wanted all my money back for the past twenty-six months and a great big apology. He then gave me a number to call the next day and the first name of a lady. He refused to give me her last name. I pledge to make it my duty, to right this wrong. I'm almost certian that the method that was used, falls somewhere in the lines of THEFT BY DECEPTION. If this company wishes to try me on this, I'm fully motivated, and prepared to see this to end. If there's not a law on the books protecting people from this sort of quasi illegal dealing, there will be very soon.
