Recently my husbands old boss contacted us saying that Constables called his house looking for my husband because they had a warrant for his arrest. We called every Constables office here where we live and also contacted an attorney and had them do a nationwide search which came up empty. The next day, his old boss texted us again and said they called him again. We asked who they said they were or if they left a name. He said,"District Restitution Services." So I got online and looked for a way to contact this place. I called them up and gave my husbands name and asked what it was regarding. The woman read off our address and everything! The woman connected me to a man who identified himself as "Officer Allen Young." He then told me my husband owed for a payday loan and court costs regarding this case for a grand total of 1421.00. He went on to tell me that it was taken out and deposited into a "Southside Bank" here in Texas in April of 2006. Once he said that I knew it wasn't my husband because he was not physically present in Texas between 2005-2010!! I tried to explain it to this so-called "officer" and he told me he didn't care what I had to say, they had evidence and he was going to come over and "slap the cuffs on him and haul him in right now." I told him no, we'd rather get an attorney and handle it that way. He sat there and told me "no that's not how we are gonna do it." Needless to say, I was getting very upset and he treated me so bad that when I finally hung up, I burst out in tears. I didn't want my husband to go to jail!! When I got home, I went online to do some more research about this "District Restitution Services." That's is how I found these complaints. One guy said that "District Restitution Services" asked him for the exact same dollar amount they asked us for! What are the odds!? And if they have our address and were legitimate, they would have come and knocked on our door by now. I am a stay at home Mom with a baby and am here ALL the time, so I KNOW I wouldn't have missed them if they had come by! Wow, those people are not only scam artists, but they are aggressive about it. They need to be stopped. I hope anyone else who reads this and has been through this takes the time to post something on here. We need to get the word out on these harassing criminals. STRAIGHT UP SCAM!!
