On 10/18/2011, Interben contacted my 88 year old mom and "sold" her a medical packet for 446.44. She gave them her routing number from her checking account and withdrew the payment on 11/29/2011. I have contacted the third party handling this issue for a refund of her monies. They always say to call back in 7 days. I think maybe not only Interben is a scam, but the third party company as well.

I live in Michigan and called the Attorney General's office today. We can file a complaint with them. however, a scamming company is difficult to track down as far as location, contact numbers, etc. It was also suggested to me to contact the Federal Trade Commission, which I plan on doing.

Keep in mind that because they have our parents' routing numbers for their bank accounts, they can access monies at any time. We are going to close out my mom's account and get her a new routing number.

When I googled Interben, there are several different states showing Interben offices. This will probably be a long process. But someone has to prevent this from continuing.
