This fraudster made promises which he had no intention of keeping when we signed a contract for our new kitchen. He assured us that he would provide the Home Warranty Insurance which he was incapable of doing as he had no license to do this work, neither did his installer have a license. After having paid him all but $5,000 of the contract price we had cabinetry delivered which was not installed, some cabinets needed to be remade as the design measurements were incorrect. Stefan Mayer made four separate finish dates and could not complete by any of them. He finally asked us to get somebody else to finish the job for him, and promised to repay us whatever it cost in excess of the original contract price. When we asked for repayment of the $13,000 excess costs he never honoured his promise. This man is a fraudster and should be put in jail.

There are now fifteen other customers of Stefan Mayer and his companies trading as Scullery and Holz, known to have been scammed for over $200,000 so far. The NSW Dept of Fair Trade had him in Parramatta Court on 2nd March 2012 to answer more charges which they brought against him. He is due in Court again on 23 March 2012. Stefan Mayer was exposed as a crook in the Sydney Morning Herald on 9th February 2012 and also on TV Channel Nine's A Current Affair the same evening.
