I booked a two star hotel in Waynesville, NC for $84 per night for two nights, July 28 and July 29. I ended up with the super 8. I needed to add July 27 so I booked direct with the hotel. They charged me $69 direct per night. They confirmed the rate at $69 for Friday and Saturday, too. I contacted Hotwire, they sent me a form letter telling me they couldn't refund my money, sorry. Their policy, when you read it is ridiculous. Posted rates on Expedia were $69 also. Don't use Hotwire.

  • Yes ! I had a similar experience. They told me I was saving42% on the room when in actuality there was only a couple dollars difference and the quality of the hotel was not what they led me to believe I was going to get. How we stop them?
