- I understand you have to be very careful when you postdate checks, as the company you write it to apparently has no obligation to wait to cash until the date of the check. I'm guessing it's because banks don't check the date you put on it and just put it through.

- I agree with toomanyscams and alvin when you mail in a check it goes in a machine the scans it. the machine can't read the date it only reads the amount and bank info. Your lucky they didn't charge you a return check fee
