I received a threatening phone call today at my work place and my home, from a David Parker at David Harrison Legal Services. This man has a very heavy Indian accent and stated that I had received a payday loan for $500 and since I did not pay it, he will be sending two officers to my job to arrest me if I do not pay the $630. If I am arrested then I will have court, attorney and other fees added totaling to $6,000. I told him that I never received a loan for this amount and I asked for details; dates & company information and then he said he can not disclose this information because it is evidence being held against me and that what I was doing was fraudulent.

I proceeded to tell him that I wanted to check this information out and I would have to call him back, he said " you have 15 minutes to call back or you will be arrested within 2 hours", I told him ok, we will see who will be arrested. This person has my full name, date of birth, home address, work address, phone numbers, social security number and bank account number.

I immediately proceeded to call my bank to verify if I had a deposit for the amount in question and or if anyone has withdrawn money from my account. Thank god that my account was fine, however I cancelled my accounts and activated new ones and I called 911. A police officer responded to my job and I explained what was going on and the officer decided to call this number back. The officer identified himself on the phone and asked for David Parker and this man became very irate asking the officer to prove himself by giving a badge number, the officer refused to give any other information on the phone and hung up. David Parker immediately called my workplace and told a fellow co worker that Denise will be arrested and officers are on there way. I called David back and told him to please stop calling my job and he said " if you do not pay this money I do not have to call you anymore because you will be in jail and now have to pay $6,000". He then accused me of having a fake cop call him and that he will be pressing charges against me.

The officer told me that unfortunately there is no way of finding out where this person is calling from but that obviously it was a scam and not to provide this person with any more information. All I could do is file a complaint. A few hours later I called back and asked politely to get the address of this law firm and they gave me 9454 wilshire blvd, ste 303, beverly hills, ca (408)520-2550, (david harrison legal services).

This is very scary because you never know when someone could gain access to your personal information and do something like this to scare people into sending money to avoid being arrested. Please, if this man ever calls you, do not send or provide any further information over the phone. When you really owe money to a company they are required to submit in writing. I am going to continue on researching this information and hopefully something can be done to catch this fool.
