I informed the travel agent that outbound was to be between July 13th and 15th, preference for the 15th and return between July 31st and August 2nd, preference for July 31st. He told me that the tickets he found for me and my son would cost less than $850 each including the taxes for our trip to England. He wanted me to agree to additional fees that supposedly may be charged by the airline. I told him that I could not agree to this. His reply was that he would work it out that I won't be charged additional fees. He would apply discounts. He came back and said that he had lost those flights and wanted to check for other flights. I agreed for him to do so. When he returned he said he had found the flights I wanted. I asked him to let me know what he had. -- He said they were what I wanted and refused to tell me the dates and requested me to sign the document. I told him that I could not see what I was signing for
He told me where to click and when I did so the agreement was signed before I could view it. After, the second email was sent which was big and readable, I was suprised to see that he had us coming back on Aug. 5th. I called the agency back and spoke to one of the supervisors Mary. She claimed that I should have read before signing, I asked her if it was their practice to not inform clients of what was being booked. She claime that it was fault because I told the agent my dates were flexible and that I would have to pay change and additional fees on each ticket. I refused. --Goiing back a bit, the agent had taken my debit card information prior and told me that the Agent's Fee total was $64.00. When I viewed my bank statement, I had been charged $112.10 for each ticket-overcharged by $160. and an additional $277.
