International boundaries

I sent a parcel of samples by tracked international standard. The website explicitly states that delivery time ranges from 5-7 working days. It is now the 24/11/16 and the parcel is still in transit.
When I contacted the complaints dept to see if the issue could be rectified, around 15/11, I was told that the 5-7 day delivery time was only a recommendation and not a guarantee. I was told that I would only have cause for complaint after the 6/12/16 had passed as that was their actual guarantee date. Upon further perusal of the site there is no readily identifiable small print detailing this rather important caveat. The suggested delivery time is not only grossly misleading it has irreparably damaged a business relationship I was trying to nurture. Coupled with the lack of transparency regarding the actual guaranteed delivery times I must come to the conclusion that Royal Mail are not only unreliable but actively deceitful. One would assume they have small print hidden away somewhere protecting them from any backlash, that being said, all those wishing to have a prompt international delivery beware. Use of Private couriers with accurate guarantees are encouraged. It could be argued that Royal Mail is in danger of becoming a service which is too big to care about unfortunate delays. Unfortunately I am not in a position to be so care free about such inconveniences and have lost a great deal as a result.
For those of you that have deliveries of importance requiring prompt delivery avoid RM at all costs.
