Took my 18 kt gold rolex with diamond bezel in to have it cleaned. He weighed it and photo it.

When I came on 11/9/11 to pick it up the watch he did not have it ready after calling me. Said he was checking the waterproof of the watch and he said it was not water proof because of the bezel. I told him that the watch I brought in was water proof and wanted to see it. It was not my watch. The band did not fit and was not my band. He said he refinished it which was not to be done and when I said this is not my watch, it does not fit and is not my band. He argued and weighed the watch. It was .5grams less than the weight he had recorded on my pink slip. He said that was the dirt he cleaned out and that was why it was different weight. I said the watch had been cleaned 2 days before I left it so no dirt in that amount could cause the difference. He started yelling. Then said he would not take my credit card or check. He wanted a cashiers check. My husband said he had cash. He continued to scream at me.

$250 fee for cleaning/. I had to pay to get the watch and then took it to another jeweler and asked him to open it, found he had switched watches on me and that I have an old Swiss movement watch with my bezel. The band had two worn links, was a cheap Italian band,watch did not keep time, was dirty and the hands were bent. I was told the watch I had now was worth $2,000 at most. I came home and got my orginal receipt for watch and it was not mine as I already knew.
