I applied for a marriage certificate on January 30, 2014. I was informed by email that the funds of $75.00 were taken from my credit card and that I would receive the certificate in 15-25 days. After 26 days, I still did not receive it. I called and left messages twice with the company, no one returned my call. I emailed them several times asking them for the date and address where they mailed it to. They emailed me back but could not confirm the address that it was mailed to, just said that it was mailed to the address on the application form. I emailed them several times asking them to mail out another one. They said to take up my complaint with Canada Post as it was clearly Canada Post's fault with poor mail service. They said they would mail me out another one if I paid an additional $75. I said that I paid 3 times more for the same certificate that I could of gotten off of any other website and would expect them to courier me out a copy free of charge and that the first one should of been couriered out to guarantee that I got it in the first place. I started a dispute note with Mastercard on March 10th, sent them all my correspondence with Legal Express and am hoping that Mastercard will refund my $75 as I did not get my marriage certificate and since have applied at another place for only $25, in which it was couriered out to me in 5 business days. Legal Express is a very unprofessional company who does not do anything to help their customer when a problem arises.
