I was originally quoted "up to" $197 for my used iPhone 5 that was in excellent fully-working condition. I sent the item in the prepaid mailer and received an email a few days later from the with an offer of $29, substantially less than the original quote and considerably less than what they quote for a damaged, broken, and non-functioning iPhone 5. It therefore surprised me that their "qualified device inspectors" could value a fully working one at $29. They claim their assessment is based on "up to the minute market prices" but nowhere have I seen used iPhone 5's selling for the amount they offered or anywhere near it.
According to their own terms and conditions, I had 3 days in to contact their Purchasing Department, reject that offer and have the item returned free of charge. I sent multiple emails and tried calling. After initially talking to someone there, who took my order number and asked what I was calling about, I was transferred to their Purchasing Department and put on hold until the call mysteriously disconnected. The next day I reached someone by phone, had them bring up my order and told them to note on the order that I wanted my device returned, but again was put on hold and nobody came back to the call. In the emailed responses they said I'd have to make changes by phone but did not address my question as to why that was the case since all of their actions are communicated through email. The following week I received a check for $29 but will not be cashing in that check as I consider them to be essentially thieves - I made it quite clear during the three-day period mentioned above that I refused their offer and wanted the phone returned and that is where I stand on the issue now.
