My niece called MyPhoneSupport to resolve a Windows 8.1 problem on her new computer, and spoke with "James" who had a strong Indian accent and was difficult to understand. After a while my niece handed the phone to me. By this time "James" was remotely connected to her computer. Then he took me on a "tour" of the computer, highlighting "malicious processes" and dozens of "trojans" that he insisted were the cause of the problems. He then proceded to try to sell us $300 software to fix the problem. I was suspicious and got rid of him. This company does not offer technical help at all; they fool their victims with false information to frighten them into paying money for their "product." We were fools to allow "James" remote access, but luckily a system scan afterwards did not reveal any malware.
